Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Senior Accountant for a fully onsite role in Melville, NY. You will own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, prepare journal entries, and maintain the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, support audits, and work on technical accounting memos, policies, and process improvements. CPA is preferred and SaaS/FinTech exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules and required documentation.
• Research complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842).
• Assist with technical accounting memos, policy development, and internal control initiatives.
• Partner with FP&A, Sales, Operations, and Legal on business initiatives and contract review.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Support automation and ERP enhancement projects as the company continues to grow.
