Job summary

Happy Egg is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Rogers, AR. This role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, weekly and monthly reporting, and the month-end close across multiple entities.

You will work cross-functionally, ensure accurate month-end close, prepare reports for finance partners, and help drive improvements in our accounting processes. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3–5 years of experience, strong Excel, and ERP familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Experience with month-end close and multi-entity consolidations is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and hands-on ERP experience.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Meet firm deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
• Experience in financial and managerial accounting.
• Experience in agriculture, food production, or a related industry is a plus.
• Highly efficient self-starter who does not need to be over managed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor G/L accounts, perform month-end close activities, and ensure accuracy of month-end reporting.
• Generate Journal Entries and perform Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Support the month-end close and consolidation of multiple entities.
• Process and review accounts payable activity, including vendor invoice coding, purchase order matching, and resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
• Support accounts receivable activity, including customer invoicing, cash application, and reconciling customer ledgers.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reporting for Finance and business partners.
• Identify and research variances between actuals and budget/forecast.
• Act as the day-to-day liaison between Finance and functional areas of the Company.
