Job summary

Cura Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Virginia. This part-time to potential full-time role focuses on maintaining financial records, preparing statements, and ensuring GAAP compliance.

The position offers growth opportunities within a dynamic organization. Key duties include general ledger entries, monthly close support, financial statement preparation, and collaboration across departments for budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger entries by recording daily financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns and assist with audits.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide support for special projects as needed.
