Job summary

Disabledperson, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, close processes, and GAAP compliance in a government contracting environment.

You will work with FP&A, contracts, and operations to ensure accurate financial reporting for federal programs and intercompany allocations. The role requires a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, at least one year in government contracting or public accounting, and a CPA/CMA certification path is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
• 1+ year in government contracting or public accounting preferred.
• CPA/CMA certification or progress toward certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with financial statements and management reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and government contracting regulatory standards.
• Support DCAA audits with schedules and documentation.
