Job summary

Residential Elevators is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its Finance team at the Tallahassee HQ. You will prepare journal entries, maintain ledgers, and perform reconciliations to support monthly closes.

You will also assist with AP/AR and daily accounting tasks, ensuring robust internal controls and accurate financial reporting. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of accounting experience, familiarity with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite or Microsoft

Qualifications

BS in Accounting or Finance highly desirable.
1-3 years of general accounting experience, with manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), experience with QuickBooks and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals, and fixed asset schedules.
Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations to research and resolve discrepancies.
Assist the finance team with timely financial closing procedures and variance analysis.
Support accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and day-to-day accounting transactions.
Investigate and resolve customer queries.
Communicate with customers via phone and email.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Assist in preparing accurate, timely financial statements and reports.
Assist VP of Finance and/or Controller with other duties as assigned.
