Job summary

The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze data to improve processes while upholding internal controls and accuracy.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred; up to three years of accounting experience, with public accounting experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains records and files.
• Prepares reconciliations of accounts; researches and interprets data for reconciling items.
• Develops understanding of each account assigned to identify issues or unusual activity.
• Gathers information from the general ledger, financial systems and other department reports to prepare reports to be distributed within and outside of accounting.
• Analyses information by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
• Adheres to internal controls within applicable accounting processes.
• Project work as assigned.
