Job summary

BlueGrace is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting department in Florida. You will support the accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP, contribute to the general ledger integrity, and assist with the monthly close process under the supervision of the Accounting Supervisor.

You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, support accounts payable/receivable, and maintain audit-ready schedules across BlueGrace's U.S. and subsidiary entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/Accounting systems (Certinia/FinancialForce, NetSuite) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume close.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record standard journal entries in the GL for recurring transactions.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close and communicate open items.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Maintain supporting schedules and audit-ready documentation.
• Respond to inquiries from operations and management regarding GL activity.
• Assist with audits by gathering documentation and preparing reconciliations.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and data pulls from Certinia/FinancialForce or other systems.
• Adhere to internal control procedures to safeguard assets.
