Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Hones ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Experience in month-end close and financial reporting.
• Hands-on QuickBooks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate recording.
• Prepare and post journal entries including adjusting and accruals.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and research unusual items.
• Support accounts payable and other accounting functions as needed.
• Review transactions for accuracy and proper accounting treatment.
• Assist with monthly financial statements and internal reports.
• Conduct GL analysis and investigate variances.
• Maintain schedules and documentation for GL accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end reporting
• Assist with year-end audits, tax, and other requests
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
