Job summary

Ledgent in Sacramento is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. You will assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, working within a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate will have GAAP knowledge, 3+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with ERP systems, along with solid communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Support financial statement preparation and reporting.
• Review and analyze account activity to identify discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit support.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support various accounting and finance projects as assigned.
