Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
• Minimum two years of progressively responsible accounting experience preferred in a financial institution.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, reconcile, balance, and maintain accounting records in GAAP compliance.
• Prepare general ledger entries and reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger.
• Investigate discrepancies in accounting and resolve issues with other departments.
• Support timely monthly close and financial reporting deadlines.
• Manage designated GL accounts and reporting schedules with supporting documentation.
• Produce financial reports and schedules for management review.
• Communicate with internal/external partners and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with regulatory and ad hoc financial reporting requirements to the extent needed.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and contribute to process improvements.
