Job summary

Teachers Federal Credit Union is seeking an accounting professional to perform a variety of duties in accordance with GAAP and internal policies. The role involves reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing financial data, and supporting monthly close processes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and has at least one year of accounting experience. This on-site position offers competitive pay and benefits as part of a growing national credit union.

• Minimum one year of accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyses, reconciles, balances, and maintains accounting records in accordance with GAAP and other applicable laws and regulations
• Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger
• Resolves general ledger/operational issues with other departments as necessary
• Compiles financial data to assist more senior accountants in ensuring a timely and accurate monthly close of the general ledger
• Reconciles member financial activity systems to the general ledger
• Handles operational aspects of certain member financial transaction types
• Prepares ATM and ITM operational reconciliations on a daily and monthly cadence and provides manager with additional feedback as needed.
• Accurately and timely process return items and any other applicable transactions
• Assist in preparing various financial reports for management
• Utilize accounting system for reconciliations, document retention, and reporting
• Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

The good faith range for this position is $25.25 - $30.25 per hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
