Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Senior Accountant to ensure timely GAAP-compliant general ledger entries and SOX control execution. You will oversee month-end close processes, variance analysis, and balance sheet reviews across assigned areas.

Responsibilities include preparing audit schedules, reconciling payments, and developing accounting procedures for new processes, aligned with corporate GAAP guidelines. Strong Excel and ERP experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting or reporting experience, with 2 years month-end close.
• ERP experience in SAP and/or Blackline preferred; strong GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review General Ledger journal entries with documentation.
• Conduct monthly review of financial results and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain account reconciliation procedures with GAAP compliance.
• Perform balance sheet reviews and resolve issues with budgeting variances.
• Assist with annual/interim audits and SOX control activities.
• Prepare presentations for period-end financial reviews and ad-hoc analyses.
