Job summary

The Laborers Funds Administrative Office of Northern California, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant in Pleasanton, CA to handle full charge bookkeeping on an accrual basis. This role requires GAAP knowledge and seasoned experience with GL, invoices, and financial reporting.

You will manage accounts payable, prepare statements, assist with month-end close, and support audits. Proficiency in Excel and ERP tools is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or business administration, or 5+ years related experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Coordinate full cycle accounts payable processing.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for the Funds.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closings.
• Support audits with schedules and documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Maintain confidential financial records.
