Laborers Funds Administrative Office of Northern California, Inc. seeks a Staff Accountant to perform full charge bookkeeping on an accrual basis. Responsibilities include journal entries, bank reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements for multiple Funds.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate’s degree in accounting, business administration or a minimum of five years’ related experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; experience with AP concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete general ledger accounts.
• Balance and reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements for the Funds.
• Coordinate full cycle accounts payable process for all vendors.
• Review invoices and ensure proper coding and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and audits.
