Job summary

A leading construction firm in New Jersey is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage fixed asset functions, assist in financial reporting, and participate in audits. The ideal candidate will hold a Business Administration degree focused on Accounting, be detail-oriented, and have strong organizational skills. Responsibilities include overseeing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction and percentage of completion preferred but not necessary.
• Knowledge of Viewpoint software preferred but not necessary.
• Business Administration major with concentration in Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Safety policies and procedures and report incidents.
• Manage fixed assets acquisition and disposal, collaborating with the Fleet Department.
• Prepare monthly Job Cost reports for all construction projects.
• Assist in preparation of financial audits and tax returns.
• Communicate financial information with various management levels.
