Job summary

Buckeye Power Sales is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in a family‑oriented, growth‑m focused company. You will reconcile general ledger accounts, process credit card uploads into Business Central, and support month‑end activities.

You’ll also handle COI requirements, portal communications, and bid documentation support. The role requires an Accounting degree, data-entry accuracy, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Experience working with web portals preferred.
• 1+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Demonstrated accuracy in data entry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Reconciling and maintaining assigned general ledger accounts.
• Reconciling credit card transactions and upload them into Business Central.
• Assisting with month-end activities, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
• Providing backup support to other Finance team members as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with Certificate of Insurance (COI) requirements.
• Responding to and support customer requests for COIs.
• Managing web portal email communications; supporting and maintaining customer and vendor portals.
• Maintaining compliance with vendor form requirements.
• Providing support for bid documentation and bonding requirements.
• Recommending and developing strategies to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
• Identifying issues and recommending appropriate alternative solutions.
