Job summary

Crane Pumps & Systems seeks a Staff Accountant in Piqua, Ohio to support the Site Controller with monthly financial close, reconciliations, and inter-company tie outs. You will manage fixed assets, administer Concur/purchase card programs, and help prepare tax packages and credits.

The role requires up to 2 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Emphasis on internal controls and cost reporting; manufacturing exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience or equivalent education/experience in accounting or finance (co-op or internship may count)
• Understanding of accounting principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
• Preferred: 1-3 years in manufacturing; CPA and/or CMA preferred

Responsibilities

• Monthly close duties: journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, inter-company tie-out, audit of shipping/receiving cut-off, Hyperion data upload, and prep/distribution of financials.
• Maintain fixed assets and perform annual fixed asset audit.
• Administer Concur travel card and purchase card programs.
• Prepare annual corporate tax package, sales/use tax, and R&D tax credit.
• Monitor internal controls and ensure SOX compliance.
• Provide standard costing and assist with annual physical inventory audit.
• Leverage BI tools to automate daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.
