Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the finance team with accurate financial reporting and robust accounting records.

You will contribute to month-end close, GL reconciliations, and various accounting projects while ensuring GAAP and internal controls compliance. The role involves preparing journals, supporting audits, and assisting with budgets, forecasts, and payroll data processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Good understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Strong communication skills to explain financial data clearly.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Support internal and external audit processes with schedules and documentation.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls.
• Handle accounts payable entries and vendor setups.
• Monitor budgets and variance reporting.
• Assist with payroll data and tax filings support.
• Contribute to accounting projects and process improvements.
