Job summary

Origin Bank is seeking a qualified accounting professional to join our finance team. The role covers corporate accounting, financial reporting, and SEC filings, with responsibilities spanning reconciliations, ledger integrity, and month-end close.

You will work with ERP and reporting tools like Workiva, PeopleSoft, Blackline, and IBS, collaborate with management, and contribute to accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with accounting/finance emphasis.
• 2 years accounting and/or related banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of the Loan Control and/or Clearing General Ledger Accounts using established policies and timely entries.
• Monitor the Interface Balancing Report daily to ensure loan applications and related general ledger accounts are in balance.
• Review fee-related error codes on the Loan Maintenance Cross Check report and correct fees to resolve errors.
• Record daily purchases and sales of mortgage loans using mortgage software to ensure accurate postings.
• Balance purchases and sales with wire transfers and funds remittances.
• Record daily warehouse lending activity and ensure entries are posted accurately.
• Reconcile and monitor other general ledger accounts as requested; assist with month-end entries.
• Prepare reports for examiners and auditors as needed.
