Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. As our Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks aimed at maintaining the financial health of our company. Your duties will include:
2. Preparing and entering journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all transactions.
3. Reconciling all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and correcting any discrepancies.
4. Managing the A/R process, including invoicing, collections, and reporting.
5. Overseeing the fixed asset accounting process, including maintaining the fixed asset ledger and related depreciation schedules.
6. Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget, including monthly review and analysis to ensure financial goals are being met.
7. Utilizing Reynolds and Reynolds software for various accounting tasks.
8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and laws.
9. Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry.
3. Proficiency in fixed asset accounting.
4. Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds software.
5. Strong knowledge of A/R, month-end reconciliations, and commission calculations.
6. Proven experience in annual budget preparation with monthly review and analysis.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
10. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
