Job summary

Bloom MT in Helena, MT seeks a Staff Accountant to handle accounting functions and administrative services. Reports to Finance Team and will perform clerical, record-keeping, and basic accounting tasks while supporting monthly close and payroll-related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree – Business/Accounting/Finance Emphasis
• CPA Candidate preferred
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles preferred
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• Microsoft Office Suite/Excel/Word/Teams/Outlook familiarity
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Montana Cannabis Worker's Permit required

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable, including vendor invoicing, AP aging, and weekly check runs
• Prepare year-end 1099 reporting requirements
• Manage employee expense reporting/reimbursement through payroll system
• Manage Wholesale Accounts Receivable and AR aging reporting
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all company accounts
• Maintain Fixed Asset and Depreciation schedules and monthly depreciation entries
• Balance Sheet account reconciliations and adjusting entries for monthly close
• Assist HR/Payroll with system entries for new employees
• Other duties as assigned
