Job summary

Prudential Center and the New Jersey Devils seek a Staff Accountant to support AP/AR, GL work, and month-end close. The role emphasizes accuracy, process improvement, and collaboration across departments in Newark, NJ, with occasional travel for audits and cross-venue coordination.

You will prepare journal entries, analyze financial results, and assist in forecast and budgeting efforts while maintaining strong internal controls and timely reporting. Experience with Solomon and Concur is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with major coursework in Accounting or related field.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) or similar accounting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, reconcile vendor invoices and payments.
• Post cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Prepare journal entries and assist month-end/year-end close processes.
• Analyze AR aging and reconcile AR reports.
• Support budget reviews and reforecast expenses with department leads.
• Assist with external audits and financial reporting.
