WIN Sports Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes in New York, NY. You will manage journal entries, account reconciliations, variances, and vendor/payables workflows while ensuring ASC 606 revenue recognition and strong internal controls.

The role also covers payroll, prepaid/ accrual accounting, NetSuite reporting, and supporting audits and tax requests with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvements.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 3–4 years of experience with 1–2 years in month-end close.
• U.S. GAAP knowledge and ERP experience (NetSuite) required.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to improve processes.
• CPA designation/path is a plus and public accounting background is favorable.

Responsabilidades

• Review revenue, billing, and ASC 606 compliance for revenue recognition.

• Reconcile bank, card and balance-sheet accounts and resolve items.
• Assist in NetSuite reporting for budgets and department reviews.
• Support audits and tax requests; strengthen workflows and controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Role

The Senior Accountant will take primary responsibility for month/quarter/year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis, and will manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, expense reports, and outstanding receivables. This individual will also maintain subledgers, manage prepaid expenses and accrued liabilities, and enhance ERP reporting across all G/L accounts.

Responsibilities

• Own transactional accounting and assigned monthly and annual close activities
• Prepare payroll, accrual, prepaid, allocation and other journal entries
• Maintain prepaid, accrual, fixed-asset and other schedules
• Review client revenue and billing schedules to ensure invoices are issued completely, and that revenue is recognized according to ASC 606 policy
• Manage the vendor lifecycle from onboarding and W-9/banking setup through payment release, verifying proper authorization before funds are disbursed
• Reconcile bank, card and balance-sheet accounts; research and clear reconciling items promptly
• Review expenses and corporate cards as it relates to GL impact; prepare authorized AP runs
• Assist in building NetSuite reports for budget-to-actual and department review
• Support audit and tax requests; strengthen workflows, documentation and controls
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
• 3–4 years of experience, with 1–2 years of direct month-end close experience and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP required
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel, with experience optimizing AI productivity tools (e.g. Claude) and process automation technologies to streamline workflows and drive efficiency
• Precise, organized and analytical collaborator with sound judgment and discretion
• CPA designation/path is a plus
• Background in public accounting or prior audit experience is a plus
• Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize multiple concurrent tasks, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
• Highly collaborative and communicative, with the ability to clearly articulate information to internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to interact positively with a range of personalities and work styles, and to effectively support cross-functional team objectives
• Flexibility to support the business during peak periods and key points on the sports calendar
• Unwavering commitment to professional discretion, maintaining strict confidentiality and integrity in all financial operations

Location

This is a full-time, in-office position in New York, New York.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $90,000- $110,000 annually. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary annual bonus. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, budget, and other business criteria.
