Job summary

Fishbowl Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Finance and Accounting team in Minneapolis, MN. You will handle A/R, A/P, payroll, taxes, reconciliations, and internal controls while supporting HR systems and recruiting processes.

The role also involves overseeing day-to-day office operations, coordinating events, and maintaining facilities. A proactive, detail-oriented professional who can use AI to streamline tasks will thrive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience in a staff accountant role.
• GAAP knowledge and experience with financial software.

Responsibilities

• Generate client invoices and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Process POs, vendor invoices, and employee expense reports.
• Process payroll, benefits, rewards, and commissions, with journal entries.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations; maintain accounting calendar.
• File multi-state sales tax returns; maintain customer and revenue data.
• Manage SuccessFactors, onboarding, and HR processes.
• Coordinate office events, facilities, and travel; support reception duties.
• Utilize AI tools to automate tasks and improve report accuracy.
