Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable in Virginia to handle financial information processing, reporting, and analysis. You will liaise with vendors, process invoices, monitor approvals, and help ensure accurate account balances within a hospitality-driven environment.

This role requires 2 years of accounting-focused education or experience and 3–5 years in a related finance role, with hospitality accounting preferred.

Qualifications

• A two-year college degree (accounting preferred) or equivalent education/experience.
• Three to five years of employment in a related position (Finance/Accounting) with this company or other organization(s). Hospitality accounting is preferred.
• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
• Requires knowledge of the accounting, finance, and hospitality profession.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and maintain all vendor communication and correspondence including reviewing and processing invoices and disbursements, preparing various reports, monitoring critical payment lists, verifying vendor statements.
• Monitor and ensure compliance of approval levels, expense reporting procedures, associate relocation disbursements, expense dictionary usage, and other policies and procedures as required.
• Process invoices, opening mail, sorting, batching invoices into computer, and obtaining proper payment approvals from Supervisor.
• Reconcile all bank accounts, clear checks from computer and ensure all credit cards balance.
• Maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in finding and implementing solutions.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable. In this role, you will perform financial information processing, reporting and analysis of the company by performing the following duties personally or in conjunction with other accounting staff.

Pay Rate:

$20 - $23 per hour

Key Responsibilities
