Job summary

Atrium Staffing LLC is partnering with a growing hospitality group in Florida to hire a Staff Accountant. You will be hands-on with cash management, daily cash audits, and the full-cycle General Ledger, reporting to the Controller.

Key duties include reconciling cash and intercompany accounts, posting accruals, preparing monthly sales tax filings for Florida and Georgia locations, and delivering financial statements. Requires 2–3 years of accounting experience and an Associate’s degree.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Strong cash handling processes and internal controls knowledge.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of cash management and daily cash audits, including reconciling all cash, intercompany, and prepaid accounts.
• Verify sales numbers for each entity to evaluate and review food costs, reclassify errors, and post all food transfers and ending inventory.
• Record all applicable accruals (payroll, utilities, invoices, etc.) and post all non-controllable expenses, including depreciation, rent, insurance, workers' compensation, and interest.
• Prepare monthly sales tax filings for all Florida and Georgia locations and provide financial statements to the Controller for review.
• Perform other ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.

Our client, a growing hospitality organization, is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their expanding team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$55k - $60k+ Depending on experience

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will support the financial operations of a multi-entity restaurant group with a strong emphasis on cash management and daily cash audits. This is an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant who is eager to be hands-on with the full-cycle General Ledger process. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller and serve in a highly visible role within the organization.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Take charge of cash management and daily cash audits, including reconciling all cash, intercompany, and prepaid accounts.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:

• Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Familiarity with POS systems and multi-unit operations.
• Knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes.

Education Requirements:

• Associate's degree is required.
