Job summary

Usalco, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the finance team with reconciliations, reporting, and compliance. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting operations.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in accounting and 1–2+ years experience, is bilingual in Spanish and English, and familiar with U.S. GAAP. CPA pursuit is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar discipline.
• 1–2+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• CPA or active pursuit is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly reconciliations with input from Senior Accountant and Controller.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Process payroll, including timesheets, wages, deductions, bonuses, and taxes according to laws.
• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processing as needed.
• Assist in year-end and other audits.
• Assist the Tax Accountant with tax and regulatory filings; Execute on corporate accounting calendar and reconciliation tracking.

About The Job Staff Accountant

Summary

This position supports the Finance & Accounting leadership of the company with analyses and insights to drive the business forward. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with our finance team to support daily accounting operations and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly reconciliations with input from Senior Accountant & Controller
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Responsible for processing payroll for employees, which includes collecting and verifying timesheet data, calculating wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and taxes according to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing as needed
• Assist in year-end and other audits
• Assist the Tax Accountant with tax and regulatory filings as neededExecute on corporate accounting calendar and reconciliation tracking
