Job summary

Usalco, LLC, a rapidly growing national leader in potable and industrial water treatment chemistry, is hiring a Staff Accountant to support the finance team in Baltimore, MD. The role requires 1-2+ years of accounting experience and bilingual Spanish/English, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

The Staff Accountant will perform reconciliations, payroll processing, AR/AP support, and assist with audits and tax filings, contributing to accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar discipline.
• 1-2+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience, in public or industry.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Strong general knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Excellent analytical, organization, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly reconciliations with input from Senior Accountant & Controller.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for processing payroll for employees, which includes collecting and verifying timesheet data, calculating wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and taxes according to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing as needed.
• Assist in year-end and other audits.
• Assist the Tax Accountant with tax and regulatory filings as needed.
• Execute on corporate accounting calendar and reconciliation tracking.
