Job summary

Bradley Mechanical seeks a CPA with deep GAAP knowledge to own GL, month-end close, and high-quality financial reporting across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical services.

You will lead job costing, dashboards, and cash flow monitoring, collaborating with leadership to drive profitability and operational improvements while maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and month-end/year-end close.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and dashboards.
• Ability to analyze financial statements, job costing, cash flow, profitability, and financial KPIs.
• Ability to communicate financial results and variances clearly to non-financial leadership.
• Experience with ServiceTitan or comparable field-service management software is preferred.
• Experience with reporting or workflow automation tools such as Power Query, Zapier, or API-connected dashboards is preferred.
• Accounting experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, home services, or the skilled trades is preferred.
• Experience developing or maintaining financial dashboards and KPI reporting tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, job costing reports, and financial dashboards.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and daily cash flow monitoring.
• Maintain accounting practices consistent with GAAP and support tax filings and S-corporation reporting requirements.
• Partner with outside tax preparers and auditors on annual filings and audits.
• Analyze job profitability and financial performance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical service lines.
• Provide financial analysis that helps leadership make informed pricing and operational decisions.
• Maintain strong internal controls, accounting documentation, and financial compliance processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows through automation and better technology.
• Use accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools to turn financial data into actionable business insights.
