Work Setting: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days work from home)

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST

Education: Degree in Accounting (required)

IPC Packaging is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant who is ready to take on broader responsibilities and gain exposure to supervisory-level accounting work.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond task-based accounting and develop ownership over financial processes, reporting, and operational support within a growing company.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with the CEO and external accounting partners while supporting day-to-day accounting activities across the organization.

Accounting Operations include general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, audit support, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily accounting activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Analyze costing
  • Maintain and support general ledger accuracy and month-end closing processes
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Ensure financial records follow GAAP and company reporting standards
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors and provide supporting documentation
  • Assist in maintaining financial controls and accounting procedures
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support business decision-making
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner
  • Support process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–6 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle-based systems preferred) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work with financial data including reconciliations, percentages, ratios, and financial analysis. Ability to interpret financial statements and support reports accurately.
  • Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues using sound judgment and established procedures.
