IPC Packaging is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant who is ready to take on broader responsibilities and gain exposure to supervisory-level accounting work.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond task-based accounting and develop ownership over financial processes, reporting, and operational support within a growing company.
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the CEO and external accounting partners while supporting day-to-day accounting activities across the organization.
Accounting Operations include general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, audit support, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily accounting activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Analyze costing
- Maintain and support general ledger accuracy and month-end closing processes
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure financial records follow GAAP and company reporting standards
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
- Coordinate with external accountants and auditors and provide supporting documentation
- Assist in maintaining financial controls and accounting procedures
- Provide financial data and analysis to support business decision-making
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner
- Support process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6 years of accounting experience preferred
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle-based systems preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work with financial data including reconciliations, percentages, ratios, and financial analysis. Ability to interpret financial statements and support reports accurately.
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues using sound judgment and established procedures.
