Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support improvements and development of costing processes within the ERP system
• Assist with General Ledger mapping and accounting setup within the manufacturing system
• Prepare and maintain required reporting and assist with compliance-related accounting requirements
• Prepare and post journal entries, complete General Ledger reconciliations, and assist with month-end close
• Work with various departments to improve accounting processes and procedures
• Assist with costing, ERP, and other accounting-related projects as needed
• Identify process or compliance issues and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them

Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team and support both day-to-day accounting and ongoing process improvement initiatives. This role will have a strong focus on cost accounting, ERP improvements, and working with different departments across the organization.

Job Duties

• Support improvements and development of the company's costing processes within the ERP system
• Assist with General Ledger mapping and accounting setup within the manufacturing system
• Prepare and maintain required reporting and assist with compliance-related accounting requirements
• Prepare and post journal entries, complete General Ledger reconciliations, and assist with month-end close
• Work with various departments to improve accounting processes and procedures
• Assist with costing, ERP, and other accounting-related projects as needed
• Identify process or compliance issues and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent applicable experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with different departments
• Proficient In Microsoft Office With Strong Excel Skills Preferred
• Experience with an ERP system or ability to quickly learn new accounting software
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to work additional hours when needed during busy periods
