Job summary

CFS, a Wisconsin-based organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to strengthen month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis across manufacturing and distribution operations.

You'll work with modern tools including JD Edwards, ADP E-Time, and Palantir AI to improve and automate accounting workflows, participate in fixed asset processes, supplier PO reviews, and assist with external audits in a collaborative, community-focused culture. Hybrid schedule available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–3 years public accounting audit OR 3–4 years corporate accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Oversee fixed asset processes and capital additions.
• Review purchase orders for accuracy within the ERP system.
• Support external audits and special projects.
• Collaborate to enhance reporting and automate workflows with Palantir AI and other tools.

Target Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000

Key Responsibilities For The Staff Accountant

• Play a key role in month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.


• Manage fixed asset processes, capital additions, and system maintenance.


• Review and process purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and compliance within the ERP system.


• Support external audit activities and assist with special projects and process improvements.


• Partner with the team to enhance reporting and automate workflows utilizing Palantir AI and other technology tools.

Qualifications For The Staff Accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.


• 2-3 years of public accounting audit experience OR 3-4 years of corporate/industry accounting experience.


• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial analysis.


• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are highly preferred.
