Job summary

Founders 3, Wisconsin’s largest independently owned full-service commercial real estate brokerage and management firm, is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage financials for a portfolio of assets and support month-end closes, reporting, and audits with accuracy and CARE values.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 2+ years of related experience, strong organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online, Yardi One, and AvidXchange.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 2+ years related experience or Associate’s Degree with 4+ years related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products.

Responsibilities

• Monthly accounting close and balance sheet schedules for the assigned portfolio.
• Analyze financial statements and provide monthly analysis and reports.
• Coordinate with Operations Managers, Accountants, clients and staff for timely financial reports.
• Cash management including bank reconciliations, cash flow projections, and transfers.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns for applicable properties.
• Collaborate with auditors and tax accountants for year-end statements.

Staff Accountant

Job Summary

This role is responsible for completing all aspects of financial management and reporting for a portfolio of managed assets.

Responsibilities Include

• Monthly accounting close, balance sheet schedules, reconciliations, and prepararation of timely and accurate financial/operating report packages for the assigned mixed portfolio
• Analyze financial statements and financial health, provide monthly analysis in addition to reports
• Work closely with Operational Managers, Accountants, clients and corporate personnel to provide top quality customer service, budgets, year-end reconciliations and financial reports
• Cash management functions including bank reconciliations, cash flow projections, bank transfers, owner distributions/cash sweeps, and payment processing
• Utility and tenant bill backs
• Prepare, file and pay sales and use tax returns for applicable properties
• Collaborate with auditors and tax accountants to ensure quality year-end financial statements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 2+ years related experience or an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and 4+ years related experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products.
• Extremely organized, strong multi-tasking and proven time management skills
• Strong working knowledge of Quickbooks Online, Yardi One, AvidXchange, or other property/marina management software a plus
