Job summary

ManpowerGroup's Experis division is seeking a Staff Accountant in Tampa, FL to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalization, disposals, transfers, and depreciation, in line with US GAAP/IFRS. You will maintain the fixed asset ledger and support general ledger reporting.

You will monitor CWIP, coordinate physical inventories, and partner with business stakeholders to ensure proper capitalization of projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline; CPA, CMA, or active progression toward certification is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience with a dedicated focus on fixed asset accounting and capital project management in a large corporate or multinational environment.
• Advanced proficiency in major ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong working knowledge of accounting processes and controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, index/match, pivot tables, and large data sets); familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI) is a plus.
• Thorough practical command of US GAAP and IFRS standards related to asset impairment, capitalization thresholds, and depreciation methodologies, including strong understanding of SOX controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalization, disposals, transfers, and write-offs in alignment with Group policies and applicable US GAAP/IFRS standards.
• Maintain the fixed asset ledger and ensure assets are depreciating appropriately for accurate GL reporting.
• Monitor Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) and partner with stakeholders to ensure proper classification and capitalization of capital projects.
• Coordinate periodic physical inventory audits of fixed assets across locations and drive resolution of variances.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports and KPI analyses for senior management and corporate finance teams.

Monitor Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) and partner with business stakeholders to ensure proper classification, documentation, and capitalization of capital projects. Coordinate and support periodic physical inventory audits of fixed assets across locations, identifying variances and driving resolution. Compile and analyze monthly KPIs related to fixed assets and capital spend, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports for senior management and corporate finance teams.
