Job summary

CFS is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team and manage day-to-day accounting operations in a growing organization. This role offers a salary of $75,000 - $85,000 with bonus potential, and opportunities for career advancement in Massachusetts.

You will work on accounts payable, invoicing, and month-end close while contributing to accurate financial reporting. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, strong Excel skills, and prior accounting experience in AP/GL roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Prior accounting experience in staff accountant, accounts payable, or GL.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices and monitor receivables.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate AP records and documentation

Invoicing

• Generate and distribute customer invoices
• Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections efforts
• Ensure billing accuracy and maintain customer account records

Month-End Close

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Support the preparation of financial reports and analyses

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Prior accounting experience in a Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable, or General Ledger role
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
