CFS is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join their accounting and finance team. This role will support day-to-day accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Previous month-end close experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and perform general ledger account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Perform balance sheet and P&L account analysis and investigate variances.
• Support fixed asset accounting, including asset maintenance and CAPEX reporting.
• Assist with lease accounting activities and related monthly entries.
• Review financial activity and work with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support annual internal and external audit requests.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
• Participate in ad hoc accounting and finance projects.

Preferred Experience Of The Staff Accountant

• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Previous month-end close experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Experience with an ERP system; SAP experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
