Under general direction of the Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting in the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities are performed accurately and efficiently, in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions, and established policies, procedures and controls.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance required plus 1-3 years progressive financial experience within a gaming institution.
Gaming experience required.
Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to speak effectively before groups and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
