Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Compensation: $70K-$85K
Overview:
Staff Accountant for a permanent onsite role in Seattle, WA. The Staff Accountant will support daily accounting operations, assist with month-end close activities, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is looking to grow their career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support management decisions
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial data and insights
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 2–4 years of accounting experience preferred
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Experience with ERP/accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member
