Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and general ledger activity.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Support month-end close and recurring financial reporting activities.
• Assist with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other accounting tasks.
• Review account activity and resolve discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable and transactional accounting processes.
• Partner with leadership on reporting, special projects, and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation and ensure proper recording.

Segrera Associates is recruiting a Staff Accountant on behalf of a well-established organization in the Sarasota, FL area. Our client is looking to add a motivated accounting professional to its growing team. This position offers broad exposure across the accounting function and the opportunity to work closely with experienced accounting and finance leadership.

This role is fully on-site in Sarasota, FL. Candidates must be local to the region or willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and other general ledger activity.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, research discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial records.
• Support month-end close and recurring financial reporting activities.
• Assist with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other general accounting responsibilities.
• Review account activity and help identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable and other transactional accounting processes as needed.
• Partner with accounting leadership on reporting, special projects, and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation and ensure transactions are properly recorded.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with an Accounting/Finance concentration.
