Job description

Segrera Associates is recruiting an Accounting Manager on behalf of a well-established organization in the Orlando, FL area. This company has a long-standing presence within its industry and is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee day-to-day accounting operations while partnering closely with senior finance leadership.

This role is fully on-site in the Orlando, FL area. Candidates must be local to the region or willing to relocate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals across general accounting, AP, AR, and cost accounting functions.
• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close.
• Manage financial reporting activities and ensure financial information is complete and accurate.
• Review account reconciliations, aging reports, journal entries, and other key accounting schedules.
• Maintain and strengthen accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner closely with the Controller and other business leaders on accounting and operational initiatives.
• Support external audits, including preparation of schedules and coordination of audit requests.
• Analyze financial information and provide reporting to management and external stakeholders.
• Assist with treasury, payroll, and other accounting-related processes as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall accounting processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years of leadership/management experience.
• Experience within manufacturing, retail, or distribution environments required.
• Strong understanding of general accounting, debits/credits, aging reports, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Solid knowledge of month-end/year-end close and US GAAP reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams while working cross-functionally.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
