Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Staff Accountant in St. Petersburg, FL, on-site. The role supports monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and GAAP-aligned processes with ASC 606 revenue recognition.

You will analyze deferred revenue and billing activity, assist with financial reporting, and partner with billing and finance teams. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 2–3 years of experience are required, with public accounting or SaaS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience (public accounting or SaaS experience is a plus)
• Basic understanding of GAAP; exposure to ASC 606 preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Support revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
• Analyze deferred revenue, subscriptions, and billing activity
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure proper documentation
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
• Partner with billing, sales operations, and finance teams
• Support audits and provide documentation to external auditors
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
