Job summary

CFS in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This on-site role focuses on month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting revenue recognition under ASC 606.

You will analyze deferred revenue, subscriptions, and billing activity, maintain general ledger accuracy, and partner with billing and sales operations to deliver accurate financial reporting. A hands-on, collaborative environment with mentorship awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience (public or SaaS a plus).
• Basic GAAP knowledge; ASC 606 exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
• Analyze deferred revenue, subscriptions, and billing activity.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Partner with billing, sales operations, and finance teams.
• Support audits and provide documentation to external auditors.
