Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking a Staff Accountant in Portland, Oregon for a temporary assignment with an hourly rate of USD32–USD36 and a hybrid schedule (three days in the office, two remote).

You will prepare and post journal entries, perform reconciliations, support month-end close, and assist with accounting reports using Excel and an ERP system. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least two years of hands-on accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Hands-on accounting experience and knowledge of GAAP are essential.
• Experience with journal entries and reconciliations is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems is expected.

One of our long-standing clients in the Portland area needs a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team on a temporary basis. You will step into meaningful work, support a busy team, and have the flexibility of a hybrid schedule.

In this position, you will assist with:

• Preparing and posting journal entries


• Completing account reconciliations


• Researching transactions and resolving discrepancies


• Supporting month-end close


• Preparing accounting reports and supporting documentation


• Working within Excel and an ERP system


• Assisting with additional accounting projects as needed

You will join a supportive, easygoing team that communicates well and helps one another. The manager is flexible and approachable and will be available when you need direction, while giving you room to take ownership of your work. This position offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days working remotely.

To be considered for this Staff Accountant opportunity, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field


• At least two years of hands-on accounting experience

• Working knowledge of GAAP
