Beacon Hill is hiring a Staff Accountant for a growing organization seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join its finance team. In this role you will assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes, perform reconciliations, prepare reports, and coordinate with auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ years accounting experience; financial services, banking, or corporate accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel for analyzing and manipulating large data sets.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to reporting or data automation tools such as Power Query, Alteryx, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support cash management, banking transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with policies.
• Research accounting issues, analyze variances, and recommend improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Contribute to process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide backup support to accounting team and assist with special projects as needed.

• Support cash management activities, banking transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
• Research accounting issues, analyze variances, and recommend solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help strengthen internal controls.
• Provide backup support to members of the accounting team and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications
