HumCap is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team supporting domestic and international operations in oil and gas. The role offers broad exposure to financial reporting, month-end close, inventory accounting, foreign currency transactions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial results and investigate account variances.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Participate in inventory accounting and related reporting activities.
• Assist with external audits and financial statement support.
• Review and analyze foreign currency transactions and related accounting impacts.
• Collaborate with accounting, operations, and commercial teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.
