Job summary

CFS, a global manufacturing company in Pittsburgh, seeks a Staff Accountant to maintain the general ledger, close periods, and prepare internal reports. You will handle AP/AR, support audits, and analyze data in ERP systems after an initial training period.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or ACCA, 2+ years of accounting experience, and strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP). Hybrid work arrangement offered in Pittsburgh.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and support internal reporting needs.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Support audit requests and maintain accounting documentation.
• Utilize ERP systems to manage and analyze financial data.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities

• The Staff Accountant will maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and support internal reporting needs
• The Staff Accountant will assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed

Preferred Qualifications Of The Staff Accountant Role

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or ACCA qualification
