Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations accurately and timely.
• Assist in month-end financial reporting and closing tasks.
• Support AR/AP with overflow tasks including processing payments and invoices.
• Assist with 1099s, unclaimed property and GRNI cleanup.
• Act as backup for AR/AP clerks and supervisors.
• Support periodic physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Develop knowledge of accounting systems and prepare management reports.

PING, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant that will perform various accounting duties with minimal supervision, on a timely and accurate basis, as directed by the Controller, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

YOU WILL:

• Prepare various monthly journal entries.
• Perform accurate and timely account reconciliations.
• Assist in month-end financial reporting and other closing responsibilities.
• Assist the AR and AP supervisors with overflow tasks including processing customer payments and vendor invoices
• Assist on other major department tasks including 1099s, unclaimed property and GRNI cleanup.
• Act as a backup for AR and AP clerks as well as AR and AP supervisors when they are out.
• Assist in periodic physical inventories and cycle-count audits.
• Develop knowledge of the Accounting systems and prepare reports for management as needed.

YOU HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a properly accredited college or university, plus a minimum two years’ directly related accounting experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and team skills with the proven ability to build consensus.
• Strong organization, time management and recordkeeping skills.
• Possess a high level of computer literacy of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Literate in accounting software (MS AX).
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Manufacturing or public accounting background is preferred.
