Job summary

PING, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Staff Accountant to perform various accounting duties with minimal supervision under the Controller’s direction.

The role requires a 4-year degree in accounting and at least two years of related experience; relocation assistance is provided for the right candidate. The position emphasizes timely journal entries, account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end closes, AR/AP tasks, and special projects such as 1099s and unclaimed property.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of directly related accounting experience or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations accurately and timely.
• Assist in month-end financial reporting and closing tasks.
• Support AR/AP with overflow tasks including processing payments and invoices.
• Assist with 1099s, unclaimed property and GRNI cleanup.
• Act as backup for AR/AP clerks and supervisors.
• Support periodic physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Develop knowledge of accounting systems and prepare management reports.
