Job summary

Augusta ENT PC is seeking a full-time, on-site Staff Accountant in Augusta, GA to manage accounts payable and support the monthly close. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in accounting or finance with 3+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP systems and AP automation.

Healthcare practice, multi-location or multi-entity experience is preferred, and a bachelor’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting or finance required, with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including substantial accounts payable.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems; experience with AP automation platforms such as Bill.com, Divvy, or similar, preferred.
• Healthcare, physician-practice, multi-location, and/or multi-entity accounting experience, preferred.
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities with integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manage the organization's accounts payable function and ensure timely payments.
• Support general accounting activities and the monthly close process.
• Maintain accurate financial records and strong internal controls.
• Collaborate with multi-entity / multi-location teams to optimize processes.
• Provide clear written and verbal communication within the team.

With 5 offices, 16 physicians, and a variety of services Augusta ENT PC strives to help everyone feel their very best.

Duties (summary): The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the organization's accounts payable function while supporting general accounting activities, financial reporting, and the monthly close process. This role combines strong operational accounting with technical accounting responsibilities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely vendor payments, and compliance with internal controls.
