Job summary

CFS in New York, NY is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing real estate accounting team. You will own the day-to-day accounting for a commercial property portfolio and collaborate with property managers to improve financial performance.

Responsibilities include full-cycle books, journal entries, reconciliations, and preparing monthly statements. We offer a competitive benefits package, health insurance, and a 401(k) with a generous matching program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial real estate or property accounting experience.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements
• Oversee AP, AR, lease administration, and CAM reconciliations
• Partner with property managers and leadership to support financial performance and reporting
• Assist with property onboarding, process improvements, and accounting system initiatives

Target Compensation: $70,000-$75,000 base salary + bonus eligibility
